This award honors individuals who, within a relatively short time in the field, have contributed meaningful innovations, leadership, or service.

- Recognition during the Summer Conference
Eligibility Outline:
- Must be a current TX CEC member
- Must be within the first 5 years of professional practice in the field
- Demonstrates strong early-career contributions through either:
- A significant, measurable achievement, or
- Emerging patterns of impactful professional practice and service
- Submit all required nomination materials. The nomination statement must clearly address:
- The nominee’s current role and scope of responsibilities
- Specific contributions to the field of special education
- Evidence of impact, particularly within a short career window
- Demonstration of leadership, initiative, and professional growth
