Recognizes a TX CEC member in the early stages of their career who demonstrates exceptional promise and impact as a professional in the field of special education. This award honors individuals who, within a relatively short time in the field, have contributed meaningful innovations, leadership, or service.

Award Details:

Recognizes a TX CEC member in the early stages of their career who demonstrates exceptional promise and impact as a professional in the field of special education. This award honors individuals who, within a relatively short time in the field, have contributed meaningful innovations, leadership, or service.

Recipient Benefits:

  • Complimentary registration to the current year’s TX CEC Conference
  • Recognition during the Summer Conference

Eligibility Outline:

  • Must be a current TX CEC member
  • Must be within the first 5 years of professional practice in the field
  • Demonstrates strong early-career contributions through either:
    • A significant, measurable achievement, or
    • Emerging patterns of impactful professional practice and service
       
  • Submit all required nomination materials. The nomination statement must clearly address:
    • The nominee’s current role and scope of responsibilities
    • Specific contributions to the field of special education
    • Evidence of impact, particularly within a short career window
    • Demonstration of leadership, initiative, and professional growth
