Outstanding Chapter Awards

Texas CEC presents two annual awards to recognize student chapters that demonstrate exceptional engagement, leadership, and contributions to the field of special education. Each year, chapters will be evaluated across a broad set of indicators, including both foundational engagement and advanced contributions. Nominations are made by TX CEC Student Chapter Advisors only.

Award Details:

Texas CEC presents two annual awards to recognize student chapters that demonstrate exceptional engagement, leadership, and contributions to the field of special education. Award Structure:

  • Two awards presented annually
  • Each award: $100
  • Recognition during the Summer Conference

 

  • Open to active CEC student chapters in Texas
  • Chapters must demonstrate engagement across multiple areas, such as:
    • Member participation in state-level CEC events
    • Evidence of student leadership and organization
    • Service to individuals with disabilities
    • Innovation in programming or initiatives
  • Submit all required nomination materials
  • Nominations are made by TX CEC Student Chapter Advisors only
    • Chapters do not submit self-nominations or applications
